DoseNest Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DoseNest, developed by CINDERNIX, handles information when you use the DoseNest application and optional DoseNest+ features.

DoseNest is designed as a privacy-focused medication management and reminder app. Core DoseNest functionality works locally on your device without requiring a DoseNest account.

2. Information you enter into DoseNest

Depending on how you use the app, DoseNest may store information you choose to enter, including:

Profile, patient, or caregiver names or labels
Medication, vitamin, or supplement names
Schedules and reminder times
Dose status, including Taken, Skipped, or Snoozed
Dose history and corrections
Refill, supply, and inventory information
Notes or other information you choose to save

Core DoseNest data is stored locally in the app's protected data store. When you choose optional DoseNest+ cloud features, selected app data may be securely transmitted to and stored by DoseNest's backend services so those features can operate.

3. DoseNest+ account and cloud information

DoseNest+ is optional. If you use DoseNest+ features, DoseNest may process information needed to provide cloud sync, backup, caregiver features, secure device access, reporting, and entitlement management. This may include:

Email address and service user ID
Profile and caregiver names
Medication and dose-history information
Device or app identifiers used for secure device sessions
Subscription or purchase entitlement status

DoseNest+ data is used to provide requested app functionality, account access, security, synchronization, backup, caregiver, and subscription features. CINDERNIX does not sell DoseNest health or medication information.

4. Device permissions and app functionality

DoseNest may use Android system capabilities needed to provide reminders, including notification permission, scheduling alarms, and restoring reminder schedules after a device restart or app update.

DoseNest does not use these permissions for advertising or behavioral tracking.

5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

DoseNest does not contain third-party advertising and is not designed to sell personal information. The current release does not use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs to track your activity across apps or websites.

6. Backups and exports

If you choose to create a local DoseNest backup or export, the app may create a file and use your device's file picker or share interface so you can choose where to save or send it.

For DoseNest+ cloud backup or sync features, selected data may be stored with DoseNest's backend service until you remove it, delete it through available controls, or it is otherwise removed according to the app's retention and recovery rules.

7. Purchases

If you purchase an optional DoseNest+ subscription through Google Play, Google processes the payment under Google's own terms and privacy practices. DoseNest may receive purchase or entitlement information needed to determine whether DoseNest+ access is active. CINDERNIX does not receive your full payment-card details from Google Play.

8. Data sharing

CINDERNIX does not sell DoseNest personal, health, or medication information. Information may be processed by service providers only as needed to operate requested features, such as app distribution, subscription processing, authentication, secure cloud storage, and backend functionality.

Information may also leave the app when you intentionally use a system feature such as exporting or sharing a file.

9. Data security

DoseNest is designed to protect sensitive app data using encrypted or protected storage, secure transmission for cloud features, authenticated sessions, and operating-system security controls. No security method can guarantee absolute protection, but DoseNest is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and transmission of sensitive information.

10. Data retention and deletion

Core data stored on your device remains there until you delete or change it, reset or clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.

DoseNest+ provides controls for removing cloud data associated with optional cloud features. Some deleted cloud data may be retained temporarily for recovery or security purposes according to the app's stated retention rules, unless an available permanent-deletion option is used.

Files you export outside DoseNest remain wherever you choose to store them until you delete those copies yourself.

11. Children's privacy

DoseNest is intended for adults. A parent, guardian, or caregiver who uses DoseNest to organize reminders for another person remains responsible for the information entered into the app.

12. Medical information disclaimer

DoseNest is an organizational medication-management and reminder tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, medication identification, dosage calculation, interaction checking, or treatment recommendations. Always follow instructions from a qualified healthcare professional.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

CINDERNIX may update this Privacy Policy when DoseNest features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy takes effect.
